Online Gold Finder Review

I don’t usually get excited about purchasing new internet marketing related software but the Online Gold Finder is simply mind blowing. I don’t say this to kiss the author’s ass and hope you buy it so that I get a commission for it… I say this because it is truely amazing.
This Was What I Used To Do…
One of the reasons why I haven’t really made a killing with Google AdSense is because I have failed to target profitable niches to capitalize on. The way I used to research for niches was to randomly think of something that could be profitable and check out the Overture bid price and enter the same keyword into my Google AdWords account to see how much is the Max. CPC for that keyword. It wasn’t scientific at all! I was simply guessing.
I have 2 Google AdSense keyword lists. One I got for free and the other I paid something like $10. I am not sure if they were up to date or accurate at all. Furthermore I didn’t know if the prices were from Google or Overture. These keyword lists weren’t very helpful because they are unreliable and the statistics they provide are the “search count for the previous month” and “number of search engine results for the previous month”. (Heaven knows when it was compiled?).
I also have a few trial memberships to some Google AdSense keyword memebership sites. They send you a bunch of so called “niche keywords” to you every week or month and the research has been “done for you” so as to speak. You get a bunch of keywords with no statistics of how the hell they measured if the keywords are profitable or not. Ok, sometimes they do give you some statistics but I find them unreliable too.
The Big Problem With My Keyword Research Techniques…
- I was guesing which keyword would be profitable based on the number of searches and estimated Google Max CPC.
- I blindly trusted those keyword lists and membership sites
It didn’t take me long to get fed up with myself and all the tools out there in the market! I stopped building more sites because I knew that trying harder with the same keyword research techniques wouldn’t bring me any great results!
The Big Problem With All The “How To Make Money With Google AdSense Guides” Out There….
I must have read over 5 ebooks on this topic. Guess what? They all don’t cover how to find profitable niches properly. They might cover the building part quite comprehensively but when it comes to picking the right topic for profitable Google AdSense they say things like:
- “Ok for this video, we’ll use the “ABC” niche”… Then they go on and on about how they build their web sites.
- “If you want to make more money with Google AdSense, you gotta pick the keywords with the highest CPCs.”… Then they go on and on about how they build their web sites.
The irony is the don’t tell you “How they hell you decide whether a particular niche is going to be profitable?“. Sorry about all this ranting but I feel like I need to tell you guys about this problem I see with the Google AdSense Guides out there. They teach you Step 1 and Step 3 and somehow miss out Step 2 and let you figure it out for yourself if you can! I say we’ve had enough of being misled and lied to! Ok, let’s get back to the Online Gold Finder review.
Now you understand all the nonsense we have out there, you’ll learn to appreciate the Online Gold Finder software more than ever.
Introducing The Online Gold Finder!
The creator of the Online Gold Finder is pretty smart. He created a login feature for his keyword database so forget about trying to be a “free loader”.
There are only a few things you need to do to make it work.
- Enter a min. search count
- Enter a max. search count
- Enter a min. CPC price
- Enter a max. CPC price
- Click on the “Get Keywords” button
- Wait for the software to query its database (This could take a long time depending on your internet speed)
- Export the results to a text file
You’ll see the results sorted in the following fields:
- Results
- Searches
- Top CPC
- KVR
- Clicks Per Day
The KVR is a formula the author created and I shall quote his explanation on this:
KVR stands for Keyword Value Ratio. This is mainly used for adsense site builders. The ratio is calculated like this:
(number of searches X 1000 X CPC) / # of Search Results.
The higher the KVR the more potential that keyword has to be profitable as an Adsense site.
This is because it means a site has many searches, a high CPC, and little competion on Google.
Any KVR over 10 is a GREAT opportunity for Adsense…
The higher the KVR the more likely your sites will get indexed highly, and make a lot of money!
I personally believe this is much more scientific than anything I have done before to research my keywords.
Benefits of Online Gold Finder
- I no longer have to waste time thinking of niches to build my sites. I simply fire up the Online Gold Finder and have a nice bunch of new keywords to build my sites on.
- The database is updated frequently. Rest assured you’re not getting an outdated list.
- I am finally able to pin point profitable niches based on factual information and increase my chances of making more money with Google AdSense.
- I only pay a one time fee to use the software instead of paying monthly fees to membership sites and subscription based software.

2 quick questions Vince;
1. Are the searches based on Overture?
2. What does the ‘clicks per day” mean? How many clicks your ‘site’ should get? or hpw many clicks your adwords ad should get if using adwords?

1. Searches are from Google.
2. Same as the Google Traffic Estimator tool

I was about to buy this software when I Dhira’s comment. Think i’ll keep looking. At $147 it’s got to be beyond reproach for mine.

Hey Dhira,
I didn’t check the results returned. What I have experienced is the CPC is just a guideline. Not all Google AdWords advertisers turn on the “Content Network”. Therefore you might see a $20 CPC and get paid something like $0.20 per click on your Google AdSense ad.
I look at the KVR column to choose a niche that is not that crowded.
Cheers,
Vincent

I have purchased this software and so far I’m not impressed. None of the results match what Overture and Google says. OGF claims to be constantly updated which means to me that the results I get back should=the main sources. After writting to the staff at OGF they say that the results are over a month old. Even if they are a month old results they are still way off. Lastly when there was a move to a new server, I was never notified that there was an upgrade until I enquired as to why I was getting no results back. There is no option to upgrade on the software. Unless they fix the bugs outright I would hold on to your money. I’m getting a refund.

Dear All
I am a newbie to the Internet and is considering buying OGF. Through searching etc I came to understand to make real money with Google Adsense that you need keyword(s) with a high Google Adword CPC (which OGF proposes to give) AND a high number of Google Adwords Ads (which you can check with tools like Keywords Analyzer etc). This is so because the top Google Adwords ad is billed by Google 1 c above the next highest bid ad. So if the Google Adwords CPC is say $10 and there are only 2 advertisers let say A bid $1 and B bid $10, then Google will only bill B $1 +1c thus the equivalent Adsense earning is now only a part of $1 + 1c and not $10. Thus the more Google Adwords ads per keyword the higher is the Adense value to the Google Adwords CPC.
I am worried whether I should buy OGF after reading Darrell’s comment. Vincent you seem to be happy with OGF, what are the views of other OGF users? The particular reason why I am interested in OGF is that it is the only tool I came across that do reverse search engine search – start with the results working back to the keyword, whereas most keyword tools you have to “guess” the keyword to get to the results. Does anybody know of similar reverse search engine tools?
Great blog Vincent

Jeff Alderson created a software that is quite similar to Online Gold Finder and its only $77 right now. I have no tested this but if you decide to try it out, please share with us your experience of Jeff’s Top Keyword Data:
http://www.topkeyworddata.com/
The data returned by OGF is just an estimate. Not all Google AdWords advertisers choose to show their ads in the content network (Google AdSense). Therefore, those high bids may or may not be for Google AdSense.
These software are telling you the higher CPC for Google AdWords = the higher chance for a high CPC for Google AdSense. You have to remember for every CPC Google AdWords receives from their advertisers, they will split it with the Google AdSense publisher.
So maybe you have a top CPC for $10 for the word “cancer cure”, the advertiser that selects to show in the content network probably pays $1 tops for the CPC. Google takes probably 60% of that $1 and pays you $0.40 that is left. So much for the $10 CPC shown in the software.
